Walldorf, December 13, 2011 – REALTECH AG, a provider of software solutions for enterprise-wide IT management and SAP consultancy, publishes two new white papers on the applications of Kerberos V5.
SAP Single Sign-On and Secure Connections via SNC Adapter based on Kerberos V5
The white paper titled "SAP Single Sign-On and Secure Connections via SNC Adapter based on Kerberos V5" provides guidance on how to implement and configure the Windows domain controllers, Windows clients, and SAP systems on Linux in order to use single sign-on based on the Kerberos implementation with an encrypted connection. This is done using the Network Connection Adapter provided by SAP. This approach ensures secure authentication using single sign-on.
White paper Kerberos 5 and NFSv4 for SAP Systems
The second white paper is titled "Whitepaper Kerberos 5 and NFSv4 for SAP Systems" and details the implementation of NFS directories for SAP systems on Linux with Kerberos-based authentication. By doing so, SAP administrators can securely manage the installation directories and transport directories of multiple SAP system on a central server. This greatly reduces the time and effort required to distribute the latest kernel versions and support package files without compromising security.
